My daughter Michaela and her sweet dog Lacie are going through an incredibly difficult time. While Michaela’s husband was recovering from emergency appendix surgery, Lacie was staying with a friend for a short time. During that stay, both dogs were let outside and tragically Lacie was hit by a car. She suffered a broken front leg that may require surgery, and her other leg has a deep cut that also needs surgical repair.

The emergency visit, veterinary consultations, surgeries, and ongoing weekly care are expected to be a significant financial burden for Michaela’s family. This has all happened while they are already dealing with lost income and recovery from surgery.
