Help Lachlan Compete in The 2025 Disabled Golf Majors !

Hi, my name is Lachlan Wood, and I’m Australia’s #1 ranked All Abilities golfer. In 2007, at age 16 a devastating car accident resulted in over 50 breaks in bones over my body, mostly the left leg, ankle and foot. With over 30 operations to salvage the leg and a 2 year recovery in rehabilitation hospitals my dream of becoming a professional golfer was so heartbreakingly out of reach But I refused to let that be the end of my story.

Through years of rehabilitation and relentless determination, over 10 more operations, I defied the odds to become a PGA professional and one of the world’s top G4D (Golf for the Disabled) players—currently ranked 4th in the World Gross Rankings (https://www.wagr.com/wr4gd-ranking)

This year, I proudly qualified for the prestigious G4D Open in the UK by winning the 2025 Vic Inclusive Open. The G4D Open, ran by the R&A is the equivalent of the British Open is for able bodied elite professionals, contested by the top 80 elite golfers with a disability. I also have the opportunity to compete in the U.S. Adaptive Open, another MAJOR for Golfers With Disabilities and equivalent of what the US Open is to elite able Body golfers, as the only Australian exempt into the field through my world ranking (#4).

These events are the highest possible level of G4D Competition.

However, despite these achievements, as yet there is no financial support structure from golf’s governing bodies here in Australia.

The costs of travel, accommodation, and competition fees are significant, and I need your help to make this dream a reality and hopefully become the first Australian to win a Disabled Golf Major!

I’ve already become the first Aussie to win on the G4D Tour, Won twice on the Adidas PGA Pro Am Series in Australia and I’m trying to get a Tour Card on the PGA Tour Of Australasia so I can attempt to win prize money.
