Lacey, a dear family friend, has always been there for my family, and now she is stepping up to help my grandmother after a devastating disaster struck our family home. I have known Lacey since I was born, and she and her husband have been a constant source of support and kindness throughout our lives. Their generosity and selflessness have touched us deeply, and we are incredibly grateful for their help during this difficult time.
Recently, a severe thunderstorm caused a 100-foot Hemlock tree, planted over 50 years ago by my grandparents, to fall onto our house. The impact destroyed many of the roof trusses, the living room, and left the home uninhabitable. The firemen who responded said it was a miracle that my grandmother and her dog Louie were unharmed—she was in her bedroom reading before she fell asleep, which likely saved their lives. For now, my grandmother is staying with her sister until the house is stable and electricity can be restored.
The money raised through this fundraiser will go directly toward repairing the structure and roof of the home, as well as replacing all the food lost due to the power outage. Unfortunately, my grandmother does not have homeowner's insurance to help cover these costs, making your support even more critical. Any assistance—whether through a donation or simply sharing this fundraiser—would be a cherished blessing and a true act of kindness. My grandmother has always been an amazing member of her community, and we would be deeply grateful for any help you can offer. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can give.
