This is my Goddaughter Lacey. She’s a smart, funny, beautiful, vibrant 19-year-old whose whole life was turned upside down on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, when she had prolonged cardiac arrest.

Everyone that loves her is very thankful to the nurse who just happened to be lost in Schenectady and ended up a couple of cars back from where Lacey was when her heart stopped. She thought quickly, pulled over, jumped out, and performed CPR, saving Lacey‘s life during those precious moments before the ambulance arrived.

Lacey is currently in the ICU at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, and we are still awaiting answers, but we do know for sure that she has a very weak heart, which could possibly be something that she was born with. They are still trying to figure all of that out.

In addition to almost losing her life, of course, an event like this comes with compounded medical bills. Lacey will not be able to go back to work for a long time. Both of her parents have had to take time off work as well. Although she does have insurance, there are deductibles and out-of-pocket costs, and things that the insurance is just not going to cover. We are humbly requesting that anyone who may have the means please help Lacey and her family by donating here so they may have help paying all of Lacey‘s medical bills.
