Help us make a baby!

We are asking for your support as Lacey & Pete begin their journey to become parents.

In 2016, at the age of 14 years old, Lacey was diagnosed with MRKH and told she could never carry a baby. This was devastating to her and us all. I can still remember the stunned & heartbreaking silence from her that day in the doctor's office, and the tears that fell when we drove away when she said, "My whole life I have looked forward to the day I can be married and become a mom."

In 2020, Lacey & Pete met in college and fell in love. Pete's sweet southern charm & Lacey's shining light were meant to be together. In 2023, they were married just a few months before Pete signed on to the U.S. Army, where they are now currently stationed in Georgia. Before leaving Nebraska, they met with a fertility clinic, to see what the process would look like for them to become parents to their own biological child, with the help of a gestational carrier. The cost was overwhelming to think about. While they faced an unknown future with the Army, they paused. When they were given duty orders in Georgia, they researched and found, that unlike Nebraska, Georgia's laws are a surrogate supportive state. This was great news & opened the door for a good time to start.

Lacey & Pete have met with a fertility specialist in Georgia, who has laid out a plan for them to start the lengthy process. With the added complication of Pete likely getting deployed in January, they are pushing the gas pedal right now a bit. If things go as planned and prayed for, they have the chance to hold their own baby, in 2025.

We hope for your support. Anything helps as insurance doesn't cover the expenses for the embryo creation and medical fees to retrieve Lacey's eggs surgically. All of the money will go towards the process. Prayers are needed. Many who know Lacey, know her story, as she has always been proud to stand for who she is. We hope you can stand with her & Pete now!
