Laarni Vinoya Salangsang, a 54-year old single mom of 4 kids was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer on 05 July 2022 at Long Island Jewish Hospital Northwell, New York City. A malignant 6.7cm mass was discovered in her right lung. The cancer cells also spread in her brain thereby affecting her vision & other senses. She also has a lot of big swollen lymph nodes in her body, neck & underarms which are very painful. She also suffers headache, shortness of breathing, fatigue and dizziness. In fact, she could only sleep 2 hours per day and her weight decreased from 110 to 70 lbs (36%).

We are knocking to your hearts to help Laarni financially as she has exhausted her savings & could no longer work. Her oral chemotherapy drug costs $17,000 per bottle monthly. This is aside from her monthly bills and basic needs.

Laarni was a teacher from Valenzuela City, Metro Manila, Philippines. She pursued an American Dream in 2017 wherein she started as a teacher in Montana. She moved to New York in 2018 wherein she experienced a lot of jobs not limited to caregiver, nanny, PT Aide, housekeeper & laundry staff. She did everything for 5 years as a single mom to feed her 4 kids in the Philippines, not minding the excruciating side of life away from beloved ones.

As a former educator, she advocates life and positivity. Laarni shares her time, resources & wisdom to colleagues, friends & even strangers. She substantiates the mother spirit that brings light & love to people around her. She has the ears to listen to you when you are down. She has helping hands as well to the needy.
