Help La Perla's Chef Cheo Fight Cancer

Greetings Community,

as you may have seen on our Instagram page this week The La Perla family has been struck with devastating news: Chef Cheo, the heart and soul of our restaurant, has recently been diagnosed with liver cancer.

The Story:

Cheo has been a pillar in our community, serving up delicious Puerto Rican food and warm friendly hospitality since 2017. La Perla isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a gathering spot where friendships are formed and memories are made.

Despite facing this daunting diagnosis, Cheo remains resilient, his treatment began this week with a surgery to help diagnose the cancer further followed by a 2 week quarantine. While he waits on results and heals, Cheo needs our help.

The Need:

As many of you know, battling cancer is not only physically exhausting but also financially draining. With medical bills piling up and the need for specialized care, Cheo and La Perla are facing a tough road ahead.

We have set up this GoFundMe campaign with the goal of raising $25,000 to assist during this challenging time. These funds will go towards covering medical expenses, daily living costs, and any additional support needed during the recovery and treatment process.
