Help L toward Recovery and Stability
Donation protected
Hi friends,
I’m raising urgent funds for my friend L, an incredibly thoughtful, creative person in the queer community who is in urgent need of stability and support.
L has been navigating an overwhelming series of challenges: chronic health issues, sensory sensitivities, and neurodivergence that make daily life in chaotic or busy environments deeply destabilizing. This affects her ability to manage everyday tasks, like going to the store or getting to medical appointments, especially without someone she trusts to assist her.
Earlier this year, she had to leave her apartment because of a mold infestation that was making her sick. Shortly after relocating, she was mugged. She’s now staying in a temporary situation that’s not sustainable, and she needs to move as soon as possible.
She’s doing everything she can to move forward, but the reality is, healing, housing, and basic safety cost money. She’s currently not in a position to work and is trying to transition out of past work that’s no longer viable or safe.
What she needs now the most is the chance to rest, recover, and begin rebuilding without the constant pressure of survival.
We’re working to raise $10,000 as soon as possible to help cover the essential costs L needs in order to move out of her current situation and into a safe, stable living environment. This support will go toward rent, food, transportation, and medical needs. Your support will give her the chance to recover and take next steps without being forced to remain in a place that’s compromising her well-being.
Here’s how the funds will be used over the next few months:
Rent + deposit (3 months): ~$6,000
Utilities & Wi-Fi: ~$600
Food/Groceries: ~$1000
Transportation & relocation costs: ~$900
Medical & therapeutic care: ~$700
Emergency buffer: ~$800
This is about making sure someone has the basics they need to feel safe and supported. L needs a stable place to land somewhere quiet, where she can rest, recover, and plan her next steps.
If you're able to give, thank you. If you can share this with someone who might, that’s also deeply appreciated.
Thanks,
Magda
