Help L & G Sound Recover After Flood

On July 4 2025, central Texas was rocked with an unprecedented flood from the Guadalupe River. Many lives were lost as well as homes, schools, and whole communities.

L & G Sound, a local sound company based out of Waco TX, has provided the production to Kerrville’s 4th on the River Festival for 14 years. This year was to be special with the return of Robert Earl Keene and a larger crowd expected. Setup of the stage and the sound system was complete and ready for the bands to start sound checks early Friday morning. But, just within 30 to 40 minutes before tragedy struck, L & G was notified of a surge in the river. L & G began moving trucks and trailers to higher ground. While attempting to secure equipment on the deck of the stage, the river rose too fast and overtook the crew leaving them only minutes to run for their lives along with Kerrville Police and Fire Department. After mere moments of getting to higher ground and safety, only to see the stage and equipment being swept down river in 20 plus feet of river surge roughly 200 yards from the origin point. The audio speakers and equipment were insured, but only to find 4 days later that the insurance does not cover flooding.

We are requesting help from whoever can help with donations and sharing this gofundme account to help raise money to purchase new gear and equipment. This family owned company was established in 1998 and made it through the shutdowns of covid and was again fully operational, just to be sidelined once again with this horrible disaster. They had requested us not to promote this page for fear of taking away from those truly in need. We commend them for this, but feel they need help also.

Side note all the crew members from L & G Sound and the stage company are safe and uninjured thanks to the GOOD LORD.
