Hello, everyone. My name is L. F. Cunningham (my legal first name is Lisa, but I go by L. F.).

For fifteen years, I was my elderly, disabled mother's caregiver, living with her in her home in a rural, remote area of the San Bernardino Mountains in Southern California. After her passing, I found myself facing a lot of uncertainty. I need to go through probate to get her house into my name so I can sell it and have money to live on. Unfortunately, I don't have the funds to cover the legal costs, and I also need to pay back a very generous woman who loaned me money to pay the back property taxes on my mother's house.

I cannot drive, and living in such a remote area without transportation has made it difficult for me to seek work. And because I was a full-time in-home caregiver, I don't have a resume or work references. I'm doing my best to move forward, but I can't do it alone. The funds raised will help me pay back the loan for the property taxes and cover the probate process, giving me a chance to secure my future and start a new chapter after this loss.

Any amount you can give would mean so much to me, and sharing my fundraiser with others would also be a huge help. Thank you for your kindness and support during this difficult time.

(* Please note: my mother's house in the mountains does not receive USPS mail delivery, so I have to have my mail, including financial-related mail, sent to a friend's house. That is why the "Location" of my fundraiser reflects a town different from the one I currently am in in the mountains.)
