I’m setting this fundraiser up for a close friend who would never do this for herself. She’s always been the one helping others - in her community, among friends, and for many years in fandom, where she’s poured so much energy into creating and supporting positive spaces. Asking for help is something she avoids, so I’m doing it on her behalf, because she shouldn’t have to worry about how to keep her household going while she’s fighting for her health.

She’s currently in chemotherapy, with major surgery coming up and more treatment afterward. She hasn’t been able to work for months, and right now her days revolve around medical appointments, managing pain and side effects, and caring for her two kids. One of them is only five and has special needs, including therapies that can’t simply be paused.

Before all of this, she had just started renovating her apartment. Now it sits unfinished because her energy, time, and savings have been drained by repeated health crises. Each setback has made it harder for her to stay afloat, and the road ahead will be long.

This fundraiser is to help her get through the next 7 months without the constant fear of bills piling up. The donations will go toward:
