Help Kyra with Recovery & unexpected life changes

Hello, my name is Kim, my dearest friend Kami and her daughters are in need of some assistance to help stabilize her family during an unexpected traumatizing time in their lives right now. I have known Kami for approximately 20 years and during that time I have watched her endure many challenges of life and single motherhood of her three daughters, two which recently moved out on their own to attend Sac State to pursue education and career goals. She has done a stellar job raising her girls to be successful members of the community. Currently her oldest daughter, Kyra, at the age of 20 has finished her two-year degree and is pursuing her four-year degree in criminal justice with the goal of becoming a homicide detective.

Unfortunately, Kyra is going to experience a set back in life. On the late evening of Saturday, April 28th, Kyra was involved in a very traumatic accident in Sacramento. Kyra was alone in her vehicle when she was approached by two males attempting to enter her vehicle, unfortunately, she was unable to escape these men without being shot multiple times through an open window in her vehicle. At this time minimal details are provided due to an ongoing criminal investigation. We are praying that justice will be served to the people who are involved in this crime against Kyra.

Kyra was shot 5 times and sustained defensive injuries to both arms hands and shoulder, missing her heart by inches. She is currently recovering at home with Kami and due to the risk factors and severity of the situation, both she and her sister who live in Sacramento together fear for their safety and will be immediately relocating to a safer home to live. Kyra is unable to continue working and pay for rent in Sacramento and will need to focus on recovery.

In all of the years of knowing Kami and the girls, they have never asked for help from anyone. I am reaching out to the community to seek some financial assistance to help the girls with relocation costs which include paying off the two remaining months to satisfy and terminate their current lease, medical bills, insurance deductibles, transportation, moving costs, and any other associated costs. As we all know we are all living in financial hardship due to the general increase in the cost of living. If we can all pitch in and spare a couple of dollars, leave a kind word of encouragement, and/or share this fundraiser we can earn the goal quickly and help make a difference in their lives together as a community.
