Many of you have watched from the sidelines as our dear friend, Kyote, has struggled with her health. Recently, she has been in and out of the hospital more frequently as she battles multiple serious medical issues.

Five years ago, Kyote was diagnosed with kidney failure. Since then, she has worked tirelessly and done everything her doctors have asked of her in hopes of being placed on the transplant list. Unfortunately, because of her ongoing hospitalizations and medical complications, the transplant team is unable to move forward with listing her at this time.

While she continues to fight for her health, life doesn't stop. Bills continue to pile up—not just medical expenses, but everyday living costs as well. Despite everything she is facing, Kyote is still doing her best to maintain a full-time job. However, the reality of working while managing her health is becoming increasingly difficult.

Anyone who has had the privilege of knowing Kyote knows the love, laughter, kindness, and light she brings into the lives of everyone around her. Even while facing her own challenges, she is always the first person to show up for others, offer support, and lend a helping hand.

Now it's our turn to show up for her.

I am asking our community to come together to help ease some of the financial burden that Kyote and her family are carrying. There are basic everyday needs that no family should have to go without, yet they are often forced to make difficult choices between necessities.
