Help Kynlee Battle Cancer

Kynlee White, my 13-year-old niece from Lubbock, TX was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma of the right knee on May,13 2020. Kynlee is a very active young lady, very interested in sports, mainly softball and basketball.  She has never had any prior health problems and has handled her diagnosis in a way that shows her amazing resilient spirit. She absolutely glows as evidenced by her smile! Her desire to help others in spite of her diagnosis has blossomed as she insisted on shaving her beautiful hair prior to chemotherapy treatments in order donate to those in need.  This illness has come as a complete shock and a tremendous blow to Kynlee’s family.  Mother, Father, Brothers, Sisters, Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, and Grandparents.  

Having always been active physically, we thought she must have broken a bone after a recent fall down the stairs in her home. Kynlee’s hospital staff performed an ultrasound of the area and took an X-ray to make sure that there were no signs of blood clots or broken bones. The tests proved that there were none. The hospital staff then performed an MRI. The MRI confirmed a tumor in her right knee. 

Kynlee and her family were shocked when the doctor told them that the tumor was Osteosarcoma, a very aggressive form of bone cancer. 

Kynlee’s chemotherapy treatments began on May 28,2020 and will continue until it is clear that the tumor has decreased enough in size to perform surgery. After the surgery, more chemotherapy treatments will be necessary.

As you can imagine, there are so many costs involved in battling cancer. Kynlee’s family works very hard but will struggle with the financial strain. Funds raised through this Go Fund Me campaign will help with everything from medical bills to supplementing income for Kynlee’s family as they take time off work to care for her.
