Help Kylie Regain Her Vision and Smile Again

Donation protected
On Friday, Sept 20th at 8am , Kylie was leaving the house heading to school. It was the day of the homecoming game, her senior homecoming.
She got to the end of the of our street and made a right turn , coming to a red light. The sun was very bright , and she had trouble seeing the traffic light or the car in front of her. She thought the light turned green and started to go , bumping the car in front of her. The impact was low speed , under 10mph and there was very minimal damage to both vehicles . The other passengers were uninjured.
She wasn’t being reckless , she wasn’t a distracted driver playing on her phone or radio . She wasn’t speeding or being unsafe.
She was just trying to go to school.
In this minor fender bender accident though , Kylie suffered major head trauma.
When she bumped the other car , her face slammed into her steering wheel. It slammed so hard that her air bag deployed afterwards. This impact shattered her right eye socket into many pieces , ruptured her eyeball , and removed the iris and lens completely from her eyeball. Her nose is broken. Her bottom teeth were laying flat inside her mouth towards her tongue and are most likely broken at the root and will die. She will need dental implants . Her right cheek was split open in 2 places , coming from the inner corner of her eye. Plastic surgeon teams assisted when she was rushed to emergency surgery where the doctors were able to repair the globe of her eye. He describes it as throwing a grape against the wall. Kylie will need at least 2 more surgeries that we know of right now . Her tear duct was also damaged / removed from her right eye , so at some point she will need surgery to reattach that. After she heals some , she will be able to have her good eye measured and the readings will be sent to Germany , so prosthetic eye parts can be made for her.
The eye surgeon says she has a good chance of having her vision restored to nearly normal after receiving an iris prosthetic. As of now , the costs we are looking at are astronomical to repair her eye, her teeth , her car , and the medical expenses. We will continue to update as things change.
