I never thought I would find myself in a position where I needed to ask for help, but right now I truly do.
I have been living with Stage 4 endometriosis, the most severe form of the disease. Over time, the condition has caused extensive scar tissue and adhesions, and my uterus and bowel are now stuck together. The pain is constant and often debilitating.
In the past 10 years, I have undergone seven laparoscopies in an effort to manage the symptoms and complications. Despite all of these surgeries, the disease has continued to progress and impact my daily life.
My doctors have now told me that the next step is a major hysterectomy, which is booked for Wednesday, 25 March. Because of the severity of my condition, both an advanced gynaecology team and a colorectal team need to be present during the operation.
This surgery is necessary for my health and quality of life, but it is also a huge physical and emotional challenge.
My recovery is expected to take at least six weeks, and during that time I will be unable to work. I have already had significant time off work this year due to severe flare‑ups, and I have now exhausted all of my sick leave. This means I will not receive any income while I recover.
I am asking for help to cover essential costs during this time, including:
• Rent
• Groceries
• Medical and recovery‑related expenses
• Basic living costs while I am unable to work
This journey has been incredibly difficult. Endometriosis is often invisible from the outside, but the pain and impact on daily life are very real. I am hopeful that this surgery will finally give me a chance at a more stable, less painful future.
If you are able to donate — no matter how small — it would mean more to me than I can express. If you’re not in a position to give, sharing this page would also help so much.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can offer. ❤️
With love, Kylie
