Hello friends, family, and strangers,

On July 5th of this year, my partner, Maggie, and I became the targets of persistent, hateful harassment and attacks from one of our neighbors. We have had our property stolen and/or damaged, had our apartment tagged on multiple occasions with homophobic slurs, had hate-filled notes left on our door, and, above all else, our health, happiness, and safety have been compromised. We have informed both law enforcement and our property management, but these harmful attacks have been ongoing, with no help, assistance, or answers being offered to us.

We no longer feel safe in the place we have called home for 3+ years, and are reaching out to our community and beyond for any help you can provide to assist in our relocation to a safer and more welcoming home. We will need to break our lease to move as soon as possible, meaning we would lose our security deposit. We had no intentions of moving any time soon until this began, and unfortunately, we do not have any savings we can use to cover moving expenses. It is beyond upsetting to be relentlessly targeted and harassed just for living and existing as who we are. We have loved living in Marin until now, and are active members within the community, both of us coaching youth and high school volleyball for various clubs and schools within the community, and we cannot fathom why someone would do this to us or anybody else.
