My son Kyle is facing the toughest challenge of his life. After weeks of unbearable pain that he thought was sciatica, he was rushed to the hospital for emergency spinal surgery. By the time he arrived, he had lost all feeling in his right leg. The doctors found a large growth on his spine that caused severe complications, including a herniated disc and significant bleeding. The situation was so serious that he was transferred to a hospital in Knoxville for immediate surgery.
Kyle has always worked hard in the restaurant business, currently juggling two jobs as a server to support his wife and their five children. In his line of work, if you can't work, you don't get paid. He had already missed several weeks of work before being hospitalized, and now, even if the surgery goes well, he faces months of recovery with no guarantee that his right leg will ever work again. The doctors have told us that it could be three to four months before he can even think about returning to work, and the uncertainty is overwhelming for all of us.
Kyle and his family are now at real risk of losing their home and everything they've worked for. My wife Linda and I want to help, but we have little to give ourselves. That's why I'm reaching out to our community for support. The funds raised will go directly toward Kyle's living expenses and help keep a roof over his family's head while he recovers. Any support you can offer, especially during the holidays, would mean the world to us. Thank you for considering helping my son and his family during this incredibly difficult time.
