Hi everyone.
In 2023, we went through our 3rd and final round of IVF to have our first baby boy. He’s 2 now and a big brother to our second miracle baby, who is almost 2 months old.
We recently moved to Bradley in August of '25. When Kyler was outside playing on his jungle gym, he fell almost 2.5 ft on his back. Since then, we have noticed a lump on his back that has since tripled in size, now almost the size of a baseball. We’ve had ultrasounds with no answers, and recently an MRI at Lurie Children’s Hospital. We’ve been back and forth to Chicago multiple times for this mass to figure out what it is. They are still unsure what it is. We had it biopsied and are now just waiting for these results, praying to God it’s nothing more than just a fatty tissue mass.
With us being on maternity leave with 60% of my part-time short-term disability income, it’s become tight and very hard to afford anything other than bills, as my husband has no income. We’re living off my 60% every 2 weeks. And if you know life with a toddler and a newborn, it’s chaotic. We’re still unsure what the future holds with Kyler’s surgery, but we know we will have to take more time off work to be with him in the hospital. We will most likely be back and forth to Chicago daily to switch off and come home for the baby. It’s going to be a short-term adjustment, that’s for sure.
We’re fundraising to help cover the medical expenses and daily costs associated with Kyler’s condition and our family’s needs during this difficult time.
I’m so grateful for all the texts, calls, prayers, and everyone reaching out. Everything means so much to us.
We’re so scared and nervous for these next few weeks. I can’t imagine how we’re going to get through watching our baby hurt.
We only have prayers and hope to hold onto until we know how to get through it.
Thank you, everyone, for everything. It means more than the world to us.
