Kylee is a courageous 19-year-old who has faced more medical challenges than most people do in a lifetime. Born with a cleft lip and palate, she has undergone multiple surgeries since she was just two months old. Despite these hardships, Kylee has always kept a positive outlook, never complaining or letting her birth defects define her. She’s been in and out of hospitals, missed school for countless appointments, and even had to work with an IEP to keep up with her studies. Through it all, she’s shown incredible resilience, participating in Girl Scouts, cheerleading, and ballet as a child, and now pursuing her dream of becoming a teacher. She loves to sing, draw, and paint, and is preparing to start college at JCCC this fall.

Recently, Kylee lost her upper teeth due to complications from her condition. She only has her bottom teeth left, and there isn’t enough bone for dentures, so dental implants are her only option. Unfortunately, insurance won’t cover the cost, and the financial burden is overwhelming for our family. We’ve visited many specialists, but keep running into dead ends. Meanwhile, Kylee’s nose revision surgery is scheduled for September 4th, and while insurance will help with that, her dental needs remain urgent. Eating is painful for her, and it’s heartbreaking to see such a bright, brave young woman struggle with something most of us take for granted.

Kylee deserves to start her college journey with confidence, able to smile and eat without pain. She’s always been brave in the face of bullying and adversity, and she never lets her challenges dim her spirit. We’re asking for help so Kylee can finally get the dental care she needs and focus on her future. Any support will make a real difference in her life and help her shine even brighter.
