Hi, my name is Kyle Ashley and I am now 21 years old. I lived a pretty much normal life until last October at 20 years old. I started having seizures out of nowhere. I suffered a lot of head trauma, and the day before my 21st birthday on January 4, during one seizure while at work, I fell and knocked all the front teeth out of my mouth, and one launched into my nasal cavity.

On my 21st birthday the next day, I had to have emergency surgery, and I’m now wearing composite until I can afford to have implants and veneers that are not covered by my medical plan, as it is considered cosmetic dentistry. The cost of the service is $20,000, and I can no longer afford to pay for things. I went from working full-time at a gym and a grocery store to now being on a fixed income and disabled because I was diagnosed with epilepsy.

I have 2 to 4 seizures every month and have to have round-the-clock care. I wear a helmet at home, and my life has changed tremendously because I went from having a normal life to now being supervised by my mom. I even sleep in the bed with her at night because we never know when the seizures are going to come. I have what is called a spike on the left side of my brain, and I’m having several tests performed to figure out how, what kind of surgery, and when surgery will take place in my brain. I have other surgeries planned for my feet and ankles due to arthritis and falling ankles, but I have put that off because of brain surgery.

This is very difficult for me to even ask for help, but I don’t know what to do at this point. My mom and I have moved from our home to my grandmother’s home so she could get further assistance with me and take care of me full-time. A donation of any amount would be greatly appreciated.
