Help Kyle Schwab save Smashface Rescue Rehab of 33 years

Hi everyone,

I’m Kyle Schwab. I’m a canine behaviorist of 38 years specializing in the rehabilitation and reassimilation of aggressive and behaviorally challenged dogs and their desperate owners. I founded Smashface Rescue/Rehab 33 years ago for misplaced, medical, and behaviorally challenged Mastiffs. I am 100% self-funded through my board & train and rehab program as well as carpentry and car restorations.

I’m turning 56 today.

I’m now losing the facility I’ve been at for the last 23 years. Prior to this location, I had kennels behind my retail furniture store locations and my factory, which I lost after 9/11.

I was informed in October that my facility is being sold and I'm being constructively evicted. I will be displaced with my dogs until I can secure a facility and/or a property that will allow me to continue my rescue and advocacy work as of February 1st.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise capital to obtain a facility where I can continue to do my life saving rescue work, advocacy and rehabilitation of dogs that require an aggression specialist where they cannot be housed at a "typical" boarding/training facility or veterinary office. Being self funded I've never been able to do this because of the amount of medical dogs I take in and because I do not take a fee to rehabilitate and free them from their aggression which could take years.

Some of my work and accomplishments include:

- First 24hr emergency animal ambulance

- Co-owner of the first humane pet store in California

- Voted best Pitbull trainer in Los Angeles, 2008

- Dog bite consultant for Channel 2 and Channel 9 News

- Dog bite expert consultant for court cases

- Independent animal cruelty investigator

- Wrote, administered trained city and county shelter staff to do behavioral assessments/temp tests

- Numerous on-screen appearances for Discovery channel

- Over 10,000 rescued, rehabbed and rehomed
