My name is Kyle, and I’m reaching out for help after my e-bike was stolen at the Circle K on Huebner & Eckhert. I work at a wholesale warehouse in Leon Valley and live in the Medical Center area. My daily commute on foot is nearly two hours each way, but with the e-bike I had recently saved up for, I was able to cut that down to just 30 minutes. This made a huge difference in my life, allowing me to get home earlier to help care for my 17-month-old daughter and support my fiancé, who is taking online classes at a community college.

The theft happened when I was trying to help someone charge their own e-bike. I stepped away for just a couple of minutes to take a phone call, and in that short time, one of their friends took off with my bike. It was a tough lesson, especially since I was just trying to do a good deed. The loss of my e-bike has made it much harder to balance work, family, and supporting my fiancé’s studies. Without it, I get home much later, which means I can’t help bathe my daughter or get her ready for bed so my fiancé can focus on her schoolwork.

I’m hoping to raise enough to replace my e-bike with a similar mountain model, since I rely on a bike trail for my commute.
