Hi, my name is Kyle, and I want to share my story with you. I was in Kentucky preforming storm-related emergency work when I was involved in a serious accident while riding my dirt bike. I hit a guardrail, which caused devastating injuries—both my hands, wrist, and shoulder blade were broken. The injuries were severe enough that I had to undergo surgery to repair the damage and remove the pins that were inserted to stabilize my bones.

I was just weeks away from embarking on an exciting cross-country adventure in my bus, a trip I had saved up for and looked forward to for a long time. Unfortunately, now all the money I had saved is being used for medical bills, doctor’s appointments, and recovery. The costs of pin removal, ongoing doctor visits, and at least eight weeks of physical therapy are overwhelming, and my savings are nowhere near enough to cover everything needed to get back to normal.
