Help Kyle Rebuild His Life After House Fire Loss

Like anyone, I've heard of fires and how rapidly they destroy everything in their path. Hearing about it is one thing, but when it's something you've never experienced you don't take the idea of it too seriously. That is, until it happened to me. It began almost like any other night as I laid in bed to sleep. Hours later, I was ripped out of my sleep by the house's blaring fire alarm. Let me tell you I was pissed and annoyed to hell! Why pissed rather than alarmed? These fire alarms were a common late-night occurrence thanks to certain neighbors doing things like smoking cigarettes near the fire alarm or cooking and burning food they forgot on the stove. It was always just a certain neighbor's nonsense disturbing everyone's sleep. I grabbed my phone since it was nearby me as always and I stepped out of my bedroom, then I saw it. Smoke was rising from the kitchen floor and wall. My heart began racing, followed by my mind. I shouted to my mother who had not realized yet. I always assumed that if there were a fire now is when I would have run to grab a few important things, but in that moment my mind was scrambled. All that mattered to me was safety for my mother and I. She began panicking thinking about our poor cat who must have ran somewhere to hide from all the commotion, but we had to go! Some neighbors started banging at the front door shouting to us there absolutely was a fire. We ran down the stairs as fast as we could to get out of the building and then...

All we could do was watch in horror...as the smoke rising turned into visible ember...and then to flames.

My name is Kyle, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a humble request for support.

On June 1st, my home was completely destroyed in a sudden and devastating fire. In just a matter of minutes, everything I had—my belongings, sentimental things, essentials, and sense of security—were all gone. While I’m incredibly grateful to be safe, the emotional and financial toll of starting over from scratch is overwhelming.

I lost not only my home but all of my clothing, furniture, important documents, and cherished personal items. I’m now faced with the challenge of finding a new place to live, replacing basic necessities, and trying to rebuild some sense of normalcy.

I’ve created this GoFundMe in hopes of raising 10,000 to help cover:

Temporary housing and eventual relocation costs

Clothing, toiletries, and daily essentials

Replacing household items, furniture, appliances and personal items lost in the fire

Emergency expenses and recovery-related costs

Helping my mother and brother who also lost everything in the fire

Every donation—no matter the amount—means the world to me and will make a real, tangible difference. If you’re unable to contribute financially, simply sharing this campaign with others would be a huge help.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, support, and generosity during this incredibly difficult time.

With love and gratitude,
Kyle
