Kyle’s Story

Life can change in an instant. For my brother Kyle, that moment came when a sudden heart attack led to open-heart triple bypass surgery — and a long, painful journey he’s still fighting through today.

During that first hospitalization, Kyle’s heart stopped three times. Thanks to God’s grace and the quick actions of the medical team, he survived. But complications from CPR and other health issues meant four more surgeries were needed to repair his sternum. When those failed, a plastic surgeon performed a pectoral flap procedure to protect his heart.

Now, more than a year later, Kyle is still in constant pain and struggles with limited mobility. Despite his strength and determination, he’s unable to work — and due to circumstances beyond his control, he doesn’t qualify for unemployment or worker’s comp. His early Social Security benefits cover only a fraction of what he needs to get by.

There Is Hope

Doctors believe there’s a chance for corrective surgery to rebuild Kyle’s sternum — one that could finally relieve his pain and allow him to live a normal, active life again. But the road ahead is long, and in the meantime, the bills keep coming.

Our goal is to raise $60,000 to help Kyle with rent, utilities, food, and ongoing medical expenses while he heals and waits for the next stage of treatment.
