Last night, tragedy struck when my brother Kyle, his wife Nicole, and their five children—three girls ages 15, 13, and 11, and two boys ages 16 and 14—lost everything in a devastating house fire. They escaped with only the clothes on their backs, not even having time to put on shoes. The fire took not only their home and all their belongings, but also four of their beloved pets. Their 10-year-old pitbull, Kali, heroically saved their lives by alerting them to the danger, but heartbreakingly, she did not survive. At the time of the fire, Kyle and Nicole’s mother and son were visiting from out of state, making the loss even more overwhelming for the entire family.

Now, Kyle, Nicole, and their children are facing the unimaginable challenge of starting over from nothing. They urgently need help with temporary housing, clothing, school supplies, and daily essentials as they try to rebuild their lives. The support of friends, family, and kind strangers will mean the world to them as they navigate this difficult time.
