Hi there, I'm Kyle Manning. I've been the caregiver for my mother for a bit over 8 years now, and last week she passed away after battling many health issues(dementia, heart damage, COPD, kidney disease). It wasn't always easy, obviously, but I feel proud of the work I did to keep her as healthy and safe as a caregiver could for that time period.

I was lucky enough to be able to get paid to be her caregiver for the last couple years of her time on this planet, but that's why I'm making this GoFundMe. With her finally being at rest now, I'm also out of a job. I do plan on taking the mass of experience I've gotten doing this and using that to find a job in the same field.

However, the journey from where I'm at now to getting said hypothetical job is a bit unknown to me. I know what needs to be done, but how long each step takes doesn't always seem to go as planned. On top of that, at some point I need to figure out how to grieve her loss.

All of that is where this comes in, a ton of people in my life reached out to me after mom passed away offering help. I was very appreciative of that, but I generally had no idea what to tell anyone. I'm not good at asking for specific things. So in lieu of asking each person for something in particular, I've taken advice I've gotten from people and opened this up.

So if you want to help me, this is probably the best way. Anything you can spare would be incredibly helpful. Every day, week, or even month I don't have to worry as much about how a bill will get paid or how I'll pay for groceries can go a long way to helping me get to a stable footing in life and move on from this last chapter in my life to a new one.
