Help Kyle Fight Cancer: A Friend's Support

Hi, my name's Kyle Wilks. Almost two years ago, I was a normal person, married, working full-time, and trying to build a home and a family at 27 years old. I was a chef working in kitchens since the age of 14, helped open a few smaller restaurants over the years, and I was really growing in all directions until one day, a lump in my chest appeared.

After a couple of weeks of ignoring it, it increasingly became more and more painful and grew in size. I finally had it checked out, and after about 4 months of tests and doctors in one hospital not believing it could be cancer or anything considering my age and health history, I went to another for a second opinion and got the worst news of my life. It started off as a 4 by 3 cm mass growing on top of the right side of my chest plate and tested after a biopsy for b-cell lymphoma.

Fast forward a couple of months of trying to get myself established with an oncologist, my wife has left, and I'm living with my family in the meantime with none of the life I had created left. Shortly after, I spent 28 days in the ICU getting chemo daily, lost all my hair, and things haven't been doing too well. My family can't keep supporting me anymore, and now I'm out and living with my best friend. He's been a saint and doing all he can, getting me to my appointments and treatments, but financially, it's a disaster. I'm in debt from all the things I had to leave behind because of getting sick, and I'm no longer able to work.

The mass has grown to 9 cm by 7.5 cm and has officially broken my chest plate. It's something called a pathologic fracture. The lymphoma has also spread to my spleen, which is scheduled to be removed in 10 days, during which I'll be recovering for the next 4-6 weeks. Following that, they want to do a surgical biopsy of my lungs. Needless to say, this battle has been rough and one I'm struggling to continue fighting physically, mentally, and financially, so anything at all would help.
