Help Kyle Battle Chiari Malformation and Support His Young Family

Kyle is a beloved family member and friend. Kyle has always been the type of person to put others first, showing love and gratitude to his family, friends, and coworkers. Now, he needs his community to surround him with that same love and strength.

This diagnosis comes at one of the most important and vulnerable times in Kyle’s life. He and his wife just welcomed their beautiful baby boy, and they recently moved into a new home. Instead, they now face uncertainty, fear, and the overwhelming costs of treatment.

In his words:

“I’m not one to usually ask for help. Most of the time, I just hold my pride back and deal with whatever life throws at me. Writing this isn’t easy for me, but I feel like I need to.

I’ve been diagnosed with Chiari Malformation. For those who don’t know, it’s when your brain tissue moves down into your spinal cord. It’s as scary as it sounds. My headaches have gotten worse and worse, and now I am unable to work. I have to see a neurosurgeon for surgery, and recovery could take a few months. That’s time I won’t be able to work, and unfortunately, that’s money my family just doesn’t have.”

For months, Kyle has endured worsening headaches and neurological symptoms. His doctors now believe brain surgery may be necessary. Recovery could take months, during which Kyle will be unable to work.

Through it all, Kyle continues to show incredible faith and gratitude. Even in the face of debilitating pain, he speaks with strength and hope:
