As some of you know, Kycen is in the gifted classes at school and he was recently nominated by his teacher to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF): Pathways to STEM. This program will be held summer of 2026 it is a 6 day residential program out of the city. This program has an immediate down payment and tuition costs which we are seeking help paying for so we can lock in his enrollment and give him this opportunity. In the enrollment letter it says: "Our first consideration in accepting students for this program is a high level of maturity. Because Kycen has been personally selected by Ms. Nicol (his teacher) we believe Kycen has the maturity we seek, as well as the determination, work ethic and strength of character to make the most of this opportunity". In this program, Kycen will have the opportunity to discover his personal strengths and begin to acquire the leadership and life skills needed for academic and career success, while still in elementary school. He will join other young students from around the region in intensive, engaging, hands on workshops focused on five skills that are essential for success. Kycen also has the opportunity to explore future careers in STEM pathways such as medicine, engineering and crime scene investigation. He will even practice medical techniques during a realistic simulation. He is very excited about this possible opportunity and we are trying to do our best at making this a reality for him. He has had all A's since he was in kindergarten and has worked very hard in school and he definitely deserves to have this experience. The down payment amount is $500 due immediately after enrollment, then a balance of around $3,300, the sooner we have his down payment and can officially continue his enrollment the cheaper the rest of the tuition costs will be, the later we enroll the more expensive it will be. Any help is appreciated, we are grateful for anyone willing to give towards this amazing opportunity for Kycen ♡
