Hi! My name is Kyara and I am a high school junior at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, MD. I am the Editor in Chief of La Esquina Latina, the Spanish language section of Silver Chips, our award-winning school's . In the future, I want to study journalism to help my Latino community. I am hardworking, dedicated, and committed to social justice.

This year, I have the privilege to have been invited to attend the prestigious The School of the New York Times Summer Program. This is a dream come true.
