Help Kyanne recover from 10th surgery

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Kyanne and I need your help. In 2020 something happened to me that changed the trajectory of my life. Afterwards I began to have pain in my stomach which I chose to ignore until in September of that year I was in so much pain I had trouble walking and couldn't lay on my back. I went to the emergency room and found out my intestine had opened up into my body and I had almost gone septic. After an emergency procedure I was referred to a colon specialist. After two failed surgeries this doctor went on a transphobic tirade which lead me to leave his care and seek treatment with a new surgeon. When reviewing the first surgeons treatment notes, my second surgeon informed me that the first surgeon had performed two incomplete surgeries that had little chance to succeed from the start. This second surgeon attempted three more surgeries. After the third surgery was deemed unsuccessful he suggested I seek care with a new surgeon. Since then I have been under the care of a surgeon at Columbia Presbyterian in Manhattan. I've gone through multiple surgeries with her, and on December 7th she will be attempting a new procedure that is considered experimental. This will be my tenth surgery to try to fix my body.

My daily life revolves around trying to keep my body healthy. I have to soak myself multiple times a day in epsom salt to try to stave off infection. This doesn't always work, multiple times a year my intestines become inflamed to the point where I have trouble walking. I work two jobs, both of which require me to be on my feet the entire day. I feel like I'm stuck in a cycle of getting sick from overworking myself and then missing out on work because I am sick. I have to work a certain amount of hours to keep my health insurance. Because of the amount of time I've had to miss work from my health condition I burn through my sick/vacation time. I have never been able to stay home for more than four days after a surgery before having to return to working 50 hours a week on my feet. Recently I fell short of my required hours and have had to start paying my monthly health insurance premium out of pocket.

I am hoping to make this tenth surgery my last one. To do this I am hoping to take a full month off to give myself the best shot at healing. The money I am asking for will go towards rent, food, paying for my health insurance and beginning to pay off some of my debt from my last nine surgeries. I know money is tight for all of us. I know there are so many people who need help right now. In the past I haven't come to my community to ask for help because I felt that so many people needed it more than me, but in this moment it feels like this is my last chance at living a normal life. I appreciate any help offered to me, please keep me in your prayers. I love you and I like you.
