Ky Chareune is a dedicated farmer in Waialua, Hawaii, whose life was turned upside down by the recent Kona Low Storm. As a volunteer with Help Maui Rise, I am organizing this fundraiser to support Ky after he lost everything in the devastating floods. Ky's farmlands, located close to the waterways, were completely washed away as the storm hit. He tried to move to safer ground and help his family by Otake camp, but the waters rose too quickly, leaving little time to save his property. Both of his farmhouses were destroyed by the storm and flooding, including one location that held all his important documents. The loss has been overwhelming, and Ky is now facing the challenge of rebuilding his life from scratch. The funds raised will go directly toward helping Ky with his most urgent needs. He requires basic living essentials to get back on his feet, as well as farming necessities, equipment, and support for crop restoration. The donations will also help provide cleaning and rebuilding supplies for his farmhouses, and assist with replacing his legal documents that were lost in the flood. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help Ky take steps toward recovery and hope. Ky is deeply grateful for any help and assistance during this difficult time. Without support, he feels like giving up, but despite the discouragement, he still manages to smile. Your generosity can make a real difference in his life and help him rebuild what was lost. Thank you for standing with Ky and showing that our community cares.
This GoFundMe was created by the volunteers from Help Maui Rise and will directly benefit Ky Chareune and his bank information was added for him to withdraw directly.
