Help Ky Dates after sudden loss of their mom

We are reaching out for financial support on behalf of our dear companion and chosen family member, Kyra Dates (Ky). After a short but intense battle with an incredibly aggressive cancer, Ky’s mom, Caryn Dates, passed away on August 30, 2022. Caryn was an integral part of Ky’s life and a core part of Ky’s financial support system. Caryn’s passing has been an earth shattering loss, and has left Ky lacking the funds they need to transition into the next phase of their life.

Ky is 22 years old and just graduated from Muhlenberg College. Along with being a fierce advocate for others, Ky is loving, gentle, hilarious, supportive, and adored by all around them. Ky recently signed a lease to live in Brooklyn with the intention of beginning the job search there. Prior to her passing, Caryn had planned to split the cost of Ky’s rent with them, as well as help to cover the costs of some groceries and basic necessities. It is vital that Ky takes ample time to grieve the death of their mother while re-entering the job market. To allow them this bereavement period, we are asking you to consider donating.

- Miscellaneous costs
