Cancer. It sucks.

It's emotional, it's painful, it's exhausting, and it's financially draining.

Kurtley is fighting one of the biggest challenges he will ever face, and himself, his wife Cherie, and their beautiful daughter Lottie need your help.

 Time for something I’ve been stuck on for a good little while, I’ve finally decided to post about it.

On the 2nd of March I went into my GP for a checkup about a pain on my left testicle. After an examination he recommend I get scans and imagining.

Cut to the 4th of March and my GP calls me to discuss my scans, to see him ASAP. He tells me I have testicular cancer, in the early stages, and it needs to be removed from my body ASAP or it could spread to the rest of my body and eventually kill me.

Now the 9th of March, my 32nd birthday, and I am in for surgery to remove my left testicle to take the cancer out of my body (((Happy birthday to me))) I wake up and the cancer has been removed. This has taken me months to process, and I am still in shock because of how quickly this attacked my body. 5-7 weeks later I am fully recovered from the surgery. I am back to normal life.

The 16th of June was my 3 month check up. The results from a CT scan and a blood test reveal that my cancer had, slightly, spread in my body. But my specialist isn’t convinced. I have a PET scan and a lung capacity test, as well a sperm bank treatment plan due in the next two weeks . My specialist has set me to go onto chemotherapy treatment within the next few weeks.

I am not prepared for this treatment financially. I am mentally not prepared for this either, but I need to press on for my family and my sake. Their support has helped me through this journey.

I am urging my male followers and friends, young or old, to get yourself checked and tested at the earliest sign of discomfort or pain.

I have always been fit and in good health, I have never broken a bone and never have I ever been diagnosed with an illness. Please get yourself to your GP ASAP. ♥️
