Help Celebrate a 40th Birthday with the Gift of Freedom and Independence

Kurt has spent the last 5 years (and really, a lot longer!) fighting for every step - let's help him roll into this new chapter with joy, dignity, and wind in his hair!

A fall in 2020 left my brother Kurt basically wheelchair-bound, with the uncertainty he would ever walk again, even on crutches! For years, every outing has required careful planning, extra help, and immense physical and emotional strength. The simplest things — like going to the beach, visiting friends, or just feeling the wind on his face — became rare and treasured experiences.

But Kurt has never given up. Through relentless determination, countless hours of therapy, and the unwavering support of loved ones and caring doctors, he has achieved something incredible: he can now walk short distances on crutches. It’s a milestone that fills us with pride, gratitude, and hope for what’s still to come.

We aim to get him an etrike with an adaptive seat. So help celebrate him turning 40 and help with the gift of independence!
