Help Support Kurt and His Daughter Sami Through Her Battle with Leukemia

Our dear friend and coworker Kurt is facing every parent’s worst nightmare — for the second time. His brave 4-year-old daughter, Sami, was recently diagnosed with pre-leukemia and has just begun chemotherapy. This comes after already fighting — and beating — cancer once before in her short life.

Kurt has been a part of our work family for over three years, and to know him is to love him. He brings joy, light, and laughter into every room he walks into. He’s the kind of person who lifts everyone up — our team, our regulars, everyone who crosses his path. His heart is big, his smile is contagious, and his love for his family is inspiring.

Right now, Kurt is on an extended leave of absence to be by Sami’s side — at doctor appointments, in the hospital during treatment, and at home. He and his wife are doing everything they can to care for Sami while also supporting their two sons, ages 7 and 17, who need their them now more than ever.

We’re raising money to help ease the financial burden Kurt is carrying so he can focus on what matters most: being there for his daughter and his family during this incredibly difficult time.
