Help Kurt and Barb Rebuild After Devastating Losses
Over the past two years, my parents, Kurt and Barb Taylor, have faced unimaginable challenges. If you know them, you know how deeply compassionate and selfless they are. They have spent their entire lives giving to others, and I've been blessed to witness their kindness firsthand. My dad has dedicated decades to helping the youth in communities across Florida, whether through coaching basketball or leading Bible study. He’s always been the one driving kids to practices, mentoring them, and supporting their dreams. Though my parents haven't accumulated financial wealth, they’ve invested in people, with my dad often saying, "I'm just doing the will of God."
Now, I'm asking for your help in getting my parents back on their feet.
Two years ago, Hurricane Ian severely damaged their home. The roof, floors (which they had just saved up to redo), patio, and more were destroyed. We’ve been doing everything we can to rebuild, but progress has been slow. To this day, they still don’t have proper flooring or furniture. Yesterday, things took an even worse turn. Their home flooded entirely. They lost what little furniture and things they had left. Their cars were destroyed, their walls had to be torn out, and they’re left looking at their once home with nothing but heartbreak and devastation. After all they’ve given, this is not what they deserve, especially at this stage of their lives.
Unfortunately, they do not have home or flood insurance. That’s why I’m reaching out to anyone who knows Kurt and Barb and the impact they've had. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help them rebuild their lives. If you can’t donate, please share this page with others.
I know many are struggling right now, and my parents wouldn’t ask for help themselves—which is why I am doing it myself.
Thank you so much,
