My name is Britt Mazzagatti and I created this fundraiser for a friend Kseniya Sokolava and her 7 year old son, who are Ukrainian refugees. They have been in the US for about a year now, and having diffuculty securing a steady income to provide for their family. Over the last year she has exhausted any savings that they had just to keep her and her son afloat, due to the cost of living in the US in comparison to Ukraine. She has had difficulty securing a job due to lack of transportation, therefor most of the donations will be used towards a car.

A little from Kseniya herself:

"My son and I had to leave Ukraine due to the war. Unfortunately becuase of the timing of my arrival in the United States, I was unable to qualify for programs intended for Ukrainians and therefor was not able to receive the benefits that many others have recieved. For a while my son and I have lived off of my savings, but this turned out to be unrealistic here in the US. I have never asked for any support before and have always relied on myself to provide for our family. However, the current situation is influencing our plans and beliefs. We greatly appreciate any support that would help us overcome this difficult period in our lives."
