I am here to share the story of my dear friend, an incredibly talented and well-known hairstylist and colorist, who has touched the lives of so many in Brooklyn and now in Rhode Island. She’s spent her life making others feel beautiful, but today, she needs our help.
At just 5 years old, she was diagnosed with alopecia—a condition that, back then, was barely understood. Growing up, she faced incredibly difficult times, especially during her teenage years, with little support from those around her. Despite these challenges, she persevered and found her passion in the beauty industry—a field that allowed her to connect with others and express herself creatively.
For someone who works in beauty, appearance is not just personal but deeply tied to their professional identity. Over the years, she tried numerous treatments, including a recent experimental medication that initially showed promise.
Unfortunately, it severely impacted her health, forcing her to stop the treatment. After discontinuing it, her condition worsened dramatically.
Now, she faces a new reality. The small hairpieces and partial wigs she once relied on are no longer an option. To maintain her confidence and continue her work in the beauty industry, she needs a high-quality wig system - but these systems are far from affordable.
This is where we can make a difference. Let’s come together to support someone who has spent her life making others feel beautiful.
No amount is too small!
Thank you for being a part of her journey.
