Help Kseniia Sira Fight Stage IV Breast Cancer and Stay with Her Daughter:
My name is Yana Artemenko, and I am organizing this fundraiser from Billings, Montana, United States, to help my close friend Kseniia Sira, who lives in Pavlohrad, Ukraine.
Kseniia is 35 years old, a mother of an 11-year-old girl, and she is currently fighting aggressive stage IV HER2-positive breast cancer that has spread to her lymph nodes and lungs. At the same time, her husband — a Ukrainian soldier who was recently seriously wounded — is going through a difficult recovery. Their family is facing two serious battles at once.
Kseniia has already undergone three rounds of chemotherapy. Each treatment is extremely difficult — severe weakness, constant nausea, and complete exhaustion. Some days she does not even have the strength to get out of bed. But she continues to fight for her daughter and for the hope of recovery.
The first chemotherapy cost $3,600 USD. Each following session costs $2,200 USD. Kseniia requires three additional chemotherapy treatments totaling $6,600 USD.
After chemotherapy, she requires surgery costing between $5,000 and $8,000 USD, as well as additional expenses for examinations, medications, and recovery.
The total fundraising goal is $25,000 USD.
Due to her condition, Kseniia is unable to work, and the family’s financial situation is becoming more difficult every day. Her husband is still recovering from serious injuries and is also unable to fully support the family. The family currently has no stable income.
Funds will be used for:
– chemotherapy ($6,600)
– surgery ($5,000-$8,000)
– HER2-targeted therapy
– medications
– examinations and scans
– recovery and supportive care
