Hurricane Lowell caused major damage to Kauaʻi Sailing Association’s waterfront home at Nāwiliwili Small Boat Harbor. Our clubhouse roof was severely damaged, and several boats in our fleet were lost or badly damaged.

While we are fortunate to have insurance, we expect significant out-of-pocket costs. We also lost one of our keelboats, and several of our newer Lasers and 420s were either lost or severely damaged.

Our community has already shown up in an incredible way—keiki, families, members, and volunteers worked side-by-side to clean up debris, recover roofing from the Hulēʻia River and mangroves, and begin the rebuilding process.

Now we’re asking for your help. We are fundraising so we don’t have to divert funds from our keiki programs to pay for storm repairs. Every dollar spent on rebuilding is money that would otherwise support sailing, Marine STEM education, camps, field trips, scholarships, and environmental stewardship.
