Help KS Family Move for Trans Youth’s Gender Affirming Care

Single Kansas mom of 2 is moving her family in June to get the necessary medical care her trans son needs. In March of 2024 the Kansas Senate passed bill 233, the “Forbidding Abusive Child Transitions Act” banning gender affirming care for youth in the state.

The family will be uninsured for a period of time due to the move. Mom will have to pay out-of-pocket for specialists and treatment. She is leaving her job of 13 years at a local non-profit organization and is currently applying for jobs in the new area. She is working to secure housing and saving up for the expenses associated with moving.
