Help Krystyna and Her Family Escape War

Hi! My name is Krystyna and I would have never imagined that war could come to Ukraine, my wonderful homeland, bringing death and destruction in its ugly grabby fingers. Sirens go off at least once every day. The air alarms are so frequent that they have become a terrible new normal for us. We don’t even go to the shelter anymore, huddling instead in our small apartment and hiding behind stronger walls. We pray to God that harm will pass us by, but more rockets target my home city every day. As I write this, my country, my city, my family and I have lived through 70 bloody days of hell on earth.
I am very grateful for all the support that you and others in the West have been providing to Ukraine! My family is also lucky, because we have been given permission to come to the US under the terms of humanitarian parole program. My American uncle, the organizer of this fundraiser, agreed to shelter my mom, my elderly aunt, and I during the war, but we still need help getting the money to pay for our trip.
