Help Krystal Walk Again
Hello my name is Phil Adams and I’m raising money for my beautiful and amazing wife Krystal Adams. In December 2020 Krystal thought she sustained an ankle or foot injury from running. She had severe pain, and was barley able to stand and couldn’t walk. Several weeks went by and the pain and symptoms worsened. After seeing several different doctors and specialists we had no answer to what was going on. What started out as just ankle and foot pain became more symptoms, ranging from neurological issues, burning sensations, weakness, difficulty sleeping, muscle spasms and muscle atrophy. We continued to search for answers but could not get a diagnosis of what was happening. Krystal and I spent many hours searching the internet and finally came across something that made sense. In September/ October of 2020 Krystal was prescribed antibiotics for a common infection. The antibiotics she took are fluoroquinolone class antibiotics. These particular antibiotics have been known to cause something called fluoroquinolone toxicity. This condition causes a multitude of adverse affects in the body. Ranging from tendon, nerve, muscle, and joint damage. Krystal has been diagnosed with fluoroquinolone toxicity. Krystal’s body has been affected in all these areas making it so she can’t walk and is in constant pain. For 9 months I’ve watched her suffer and it’s been one of the most difficult times in my life. But there is hope. We have found a doctor that specializes in the treatment of this horrible condition. Unfortunately his treatment is not covered by health insurance. The full treatment is 30,000 dollars but I’m trying to raise half of that using this platform. With 15,000 we can start the treatment. I’m hoping that Family, friends, and the community I’m a part of can help with this dire situation. I say dire because the damage done can be progressive and with each day Krystal suffers she can get worse. The antibiotics have caused damage at a cellular level. The treatment she will get is an intensive IV and injection therapy to restore her cells and mitochondria that will take multiple days. I’m hopeful she can have a full recovery and get back to the life she had before this happened. She’s finished with ultrasound school and just needs to complete her externship to start her new career and start living her dreams. I know she has so much life to live and I know once better she will be back to the fun, loving, happy and caring person that I and everyone who knows her to be. I myself will do everything in my power to help her get better. Thank you so much for taking the time and any donation or share I am beyond grateful for.
With Hope and Love
Phil Adams
