Update on Krystal's Journey 11/26/24 -
Tim and I would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you for donating to our go fund me. I will be going in for my 10th round of chemo on Dec 3, I get thanksgiving off ☺️… and so far, I am responding just as my oncologist had hoped. My lump is no longer palpable… And now we are continuing chemo in hopes to kill everything at the cellular level. After I complete chemo (tentatively March 20 if all goes smooth/ total of 16 rounds), I will then go in for surgery followed by radiation. The outpouring of generosity and support has really lightened the load for our family. My FMLA is an unpaid leave at work, so the financial hardship will be a lot less of a burden. Being able to stay home and rest, allowing my body to heal is what I need to focus on, and I’m able to do that because of all of you. My energy is focused on Hailey, TJ, Tim and getting better. From the bottom of our heartstrings. Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving
Update on Krystal's Journey
Dear Friends and Family,
We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support we have received during this challenging time. Your love and encouragement mean the world to us.
Tomorrow, Krystal will be getting a catheter placed, and she will begin her chemotherapy treatment on Thursday morning. The first 48 hours of treatment are expected to be quite intense, both emotionally and financially, with costs around $1,000, not to mention Krystal's and Tim's lost wages as he supports her through this.
As we navigate this journey together, we truly appreciate your continued prayers and support. Krystal is determined to fight this cancer with all her strength, and knowing we have you by our side makes a significant difference.
Thank you for standing with us during this time. We will keep you updated on her progress.
With love,
Jolin
**Join Us to Support Krystal Horton’s Fight Against Cancer!**
Krystal Horton, the dedicated site nurse at Paso Robles High School, recently received news no one ever wants to hear: she has been diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. Living in Oak Shores with her husband Tim and their two young children, Krystal is facing this challenge with courage and determination.
Tim, who runs his own construction company, will need to step away from work to support Krystal through her treatment and care for their children. Krystal is beginning immediate treatment, and although her recent appointment revealed that her cancer is at stage 1-2 and has not spread to her lymph nodes, she will require chemotherapy. The good news is that her doctor believes she can fully overcome this cancer.
As Krystal and Tim prepare for the months ahead, they will be missing significant work. We can help ease their burden during this difficult time.
Let’s come together and show our support.
It's time to fight like a girl!
