My name is Krystal, and I’m reaching out because I recently experienced an unexpected accident that has turned my world upside down. I fell over one of our German shepherd dogs and broke my arm. Trust me, he feels very badly. As someone who retired early, I do not have insurance because I could not afford Obamacare, which has made this situation even more challenging. The pain and stress of the injury have been overwhelming, but what’s been even harder is facing the mounting medical bills on my own.
Since the accident, I’ve had to visit urgent care and the emergency room, and I now have bills from both, as well as from the doctor who treated me during my ER visit. On top of that, I will need to see an orthopedic doctor for continued care and recovery. The costs are adding up quickly, and without insurance, it’s difficult to manage these expenses while I heal.
It’s not easy for me to ask for help. I’ve always been independent and have taken care of my own issues. But this accident has shown me how kind people can be, and that there’s nothing wrong with reaching out when you need support. I’ve always loved helping others, and now I’m learning the joy that comes from accepting help, too. Even simple acts of kindness—like strangers offering to help me at the store—have touched me deeply. With that in mind, I’m asking friends, family, and anyone who feels moved to help for any financial assistance you can offer. Every little bit will make a difference and help me get back on my feet. Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
