On December 13, 2021, Krystal & Richard had their RV stolen overnight from in front of their home. This RV has been at different times their home, it has housed friends in need, it has housed guests, and it has been their home away at the camping trips they organize for our community. They reported the theft and hoped to get it back, but it was never recovered. The insurance they had on it was for liability only, so they were never able to replace it either. Then just after midnight on January 31, 2023, they got a phone call - an abandoned RV had been found with a small engine fire, and further investigation showed the VIN was a match for the missing RV. Great news, but it's pretty trashed; has extensive damage inside and out. Broken windows, a fire-damaged engine, graffiti, and substantial damage to the inside. Estimated costs of getting it back up and usable again run around $50K and Krystal and Richard - like many of us - simply do not have that kind of loose change. This is a couple that has done so much for friends, community, and total strangers. They are always helping people out. On their behalf, I am making a plea that now we step up and help them.
