On December 21st, Jude Granger was born at 36 weeks via emergent c section after a fetal nonstress test showed he was doing poorly. He was unresponsive at birth, and had to be resuscitated. After a scary first few moments of life, he started to improve but required high flow oxygen due to respiratory failure. Jude was diagnosed prenatally with a congenital heart defect that will require a surgical repair in his first few months of life. He remains in the NICU at Motts Children’s Hospital. It is at this time unknown if he require a procedure earlier than the doctors had hoped for, and his progress in the coming days will determine whether that is the case.
Krystal and Cory Granger have been staying at a hotel to be close to their son, as the hospital is nearly an hour drive. Cory is currently on unpaid leave to help care for Jude and Krystal, who is herself still recovering from an emergency c section. Their expenses for food, gas, and lodging that accompany having a baby in the NICU are mounting. Any help is truly appreciated.
If you are unable to financially contribute, prayers and shares are equally appreciated.
